Can I modify the themes?
Absolutely. Our themes were created for this very reason. We enjoy seeing different variations on our designs, and build themes with customizability in mind. In addition, when you purchase a theme, the footer copyright and links may be removed. We pride ourselves by offering themes with uncompromising quality, and are contented by seeing users who keep the Mod Themes information intact, but realize there are times when it is best removed.
Are there any usage restrictions for the themes?
After purchase, we do not restrict use of our themes. When you purchase any theme(s) from ModThemes, you may use the them on as many sites as you wish, as many times as you wish. Purchasing a theme from our website grants you lifetime use of it, along with access to the support forum and documentation.
I have a free blog on WordPress.com. Can I use a ModThemes theme with it?
Currently WordPress.com offers several free themes for use on their blogs. Mod Themes themes are built solely for self-hosted WordPress blogs (also referred to as WordPress.org blogs), and are not available for use on WordPress.com accounts.
If I purchase a theme(s), can I use it for client work?
Yes. In fact, one of our primary goals is to supply themes which are easy to modify, allowing freelancers and development professionals the ability to maximize their efficiency. Obviously, we’re happy to provide support to the individual or company who purchased the theme. If the end client wishes to have direct support from Mod Themes, they will be required to purchase the corresponding theme(s).
If I build a site using a ModThemes theme, can I sell the site?
Yes. We hold no restrictions over the sale of full sites created with our purchased themes. You are free to use the theme(s) to build and sell both turnkey and established sites.
What license do the themes carry?
All aspects including the XHTML, CSS, PHP files and design of the ModThemes commercial themes are released under GPL license. Our themes comply with the guidelines and standards set forth by the authors of the GPL license and WordPress. Support and documentation are available only to those who purchase a theme package.
What browsers do you support for your themes?
ModThemes supports all recent versions of Safari, Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer 7 and 8. We no longer provide support for IE6.
